Red Sea Diving: History And Nature In One Place
Recent news coverage of the Sharm El-Sheik shark attacks are rather over sensationalising the events. Shark attacks are surely a terrible occurrence, but it must be stressed that the danger has existed here, as with anywhere, of these freak occurrences. Dahab is a town offering a much less crowded experience than the packed Sharm El-Sheik resort. One of the most popular diving spots is 'The Canyon'. This coastal reef tunnel suits divers of all abilities and will be a fantastic, shallow-depth way to experiences scores of species in their native habitat. Skilled divers are often tempted to the 'Blue hole' as an alternative, and it's a far more challenging and dramatic location. This infamous sink hole is a fascinating location, but it has claimed many divers so be careful!.
