Scuba Diving and getting into a military academy?

For my senior project i am doing something along the lines of becoming a dive master...i was wondering how good this would look going into a military academy such as West Point, The Citadel, and Virginia Military Institute.....also would this be of better use in the Army or Marines?

You won't be able to become a Dive Master in the matter of weeks or anything. That takes years of experience and schooling. If you become a PADI Scuba Diver, that may look good, but I'm not sure if it will matter much.

I know that one of the officers that I work with went to Scuba Diver School while in the Naval Academy. And It would be most useful as an officer in the Navy, but of those two, it would probably be in the Marines.
