What The Caribbean Islands Have To Offer

If you are thinking of enjoying a luxury holiday this year, why not check out the Caribbean? Many travel companies have slashed prices on Caribbean island holidays to off-set increases in flight taxes levied by the government. This means that for many, the outlay of going to the Caribbean isn't as great as it was and more people can now afford to go.

The really good thing about the Caribbean is that each island has its own character, so you can enjoy the spectacular weather of the region and still get a unique holiday depending on where you go. Antigua holidays give you the chance to explore the reefs offshore, that first attracted the British navy to using the island as a base for its Caribbean squadron. Antigua still carries on the marine tradition and many of the islanders are expert sailors, and you can find several fishing and diving tours that will allow your pilot to show off their skills.

Jamaica is also a good choice if you fancy a holiday that's a little more laid back, and don't want to overt-tax yourself on excursions and trips. Having suffered from some political upheaval in the capital recently, the island is now returning to it's natural state of taking things easy! Jamaica holidays will let you sample the varied and vibrant social culture of the island, famous for its music and poetry as well as some pretty lethal cocktails that you can sample as you relax on the beach.

You can also try Barbados, which has the added benefit of missing most of the tropical storm weather that sweeps through the region, so this is often a better bet if you want a cheaper holiday "out of season" and don't want it ruined by horizontal rain and gale-force winds. St Lucia is another popular choice for Caribbean holidays, with a long-standing reputation for being a paradise resort for couples and those just going on a honeymoon. It's not just for couples though, there are also resorts that cater for families and all-inclusive holidays as well.
