What to do on Catalina Island?

We're going on a cruise and we were wondering what there was to do. Carnival offers scuba diving for $101 a person. Is the water going to be warm enough for that in the first week of June? What other options are there? Do they have canoe rentals or anything like that. Any good websites? I've looked around and seen some stuff about Lovers Cove. What exactly is that? Thank you for your help!

You can rent kayaks at the beach over by the old casino.
Renting a golf cart and touring up in the hills in it is fun.
The pacific ocean there is very cold. The shopping is redundant.
