Is Egypt the most popular place in the world?

One of the most popular search terms across the Internet is "holidays". So what comes to mind when you do type in hoidays? I would imagine that anyone who types in the word “holidays” into Google doesn’t really know where it is that they want to go! I have done a lot of research into specific holidays across the world and I have tried to locate the ones that are most popular from the UK. I will write another post for the US!

European holidays are the most popular holidays in the world, mainly Spain or Turkey. These holidays are well known, for being a hot country in a cheap environment. However, what about the holiday searches outside of Europe! When you ask people this you then get this answer “the Caribbean or America”. Things turn out to be quite different.

Generally people don’t search all that much for “America holidays”, in fact they usually look for a specific place in this land of the free. Places like New York, Las Vegas and Florida are among the largest of these “Search Volumes”. Search Volume basically shows us how many people search for a specific keyword in Google. I decided to then have a look at this, as I thought that this was the right assumption. However I discovered something surprising. Egypt had a higher search volume than both of them put together. Specific places in Egypt had even larger search volumes than the country itself.

Holidays to Sharm El Sheikh, recieve the highest amount of search for holidays out of Europe. This accounts for almost two hundred and fifty thousand people searching for this on the internet in the United Kingdom. Holidays only receives450k so it is amazing how much this receives. Basically what I can see from this is that people really do almost always know where they want to go on holiday, and whether it be from being told by a friend or being seen on the TV, everybody had a special place they want to visit.

In conclusion Egypt holidays is one of the most popular vacations on the planet, and Sharm El Sheikh holidays is the most popular location, if you prefer to go scuba diving, I recommend Hurghada holidays!
