Best Scuba Diving In Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico or Bahamas and why?

So... I haven't taken a vacation in almost 5 years and cant seem to decide between Bahamas or Puerto Rico; Im seeking some friendly advice. Which place would be better for two single, young professionals? We are both of Latin decent and love to dance! So, with that being said, and if that was all we were in to, the choice would be clear (Puerto Rico). BUT we are also looking to make the best of our vacation doing some scuba diving or snorkeling, water sports, nature hiking and some site seeing.

*The most important "thing" for us is the beach! Which place has the prettiest beach? Clean water, white sand or soft sand, and lots of interesting people? The over all experience?

Please be courteous with your advise; where would you suggest and why?
