Top Beach Destinations In Latin America

People go on holiday to get away from their 9 to 5 and explore somewhere completely different. This is why beach holidays can be so popular because you will find beaches in Latin America like no other on this planet. Brazil and the Spanish speaking countries within the American continent make up Latin America.

When people think of a beach holiday their first thoughts are about relaxing in the sun but there are also many other things you can do while on holiday in these leisure locations. Some such activities include surfing, scuba diving snorkelling, kayaking and many more water sports.

So the beach can be a lot of fun and below I have outlined some of the beach and most pristine beaches in Latin America.

If Central America sounds like your thing Costa Rica holidays are very popular and in fact Costa Rica is the most popular tourist destination in Central America. Playa Tamarindo is a very long beach which is perfectly positioned for activities such as surfing. If you are a surfer another thing I can tell you is that by November or December the waves will get up to about 12 feet high, which can make for some great surfing.

For the animal lovers out there aGalapagos holiday could be what you are looking for. Some of the world's rarest animals are to be found on the famous Galapagos Islands.

If beaches are your focus though then you can't go wrong with the Placencia in Belize which is an amazing 15 miles long. The region has many bird species and lots of plant life as well.

You will find that it is quite safe to travel around Latin America without any problems but I would recommend that you err on the side of caution. Many people consider overseas home insurancealthough it is not required and purely depends on the individual.
