MEXICO, AKUMAL YUCATAN VACATION?
K, so me and my girlfriend, (both 20) are going to mexico. im really into scuba diving and want to dive the yucatan. is akumal a good place to stay. also most importantly whats some things around the area, like ruins, trips, other things to keep ppl occupied, cause she doesnt dive so i have to figure something out.
Akumal is a lovely little town about an hour from the Cancun airport. There is a great deal of Cenote diving in the area. You will love that. She can snorkel in some of the cenotes too.
You will be only a short distance from Tulum; the site of one of the best ruins in Mexico. You will also be very near Xel-ha water park. A very lovely place for snorkeling and relaxing. See the links below and have a great time!
